Class Description
Classes are an open-ended time to freely create, explore different materials, and express yourself creatively. Projects are usually ongoing and could take anywhere from 2-4 classes to complete. The curriculum is based on an open-ended structure where the artist can take their skills and vision to the next level. Artists are supported in making their own decisions throughout the art-making process. Ongoing projects are beneficial in expanding creative thinking; they also lend a hand in cutting down on waste and fast projects that most likely end up in the trash.
The curriculum is specially curated for each class individually based upon likes and interests. We foster the ability for children to eventually guide themselves through projects without the full support of the teacher. Classes will differ based on developmentally appropriate practices. Children on the younger side will not be exposed to classes out of their developmental skill level, which is why we do not accept classes with more than a one-year age difference between students. Skill level will be built up in order to build confidence in each artist and create an independent learning environment. Children will learn skills they can take with them for the rest of their lives.
